Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I began my journey as a shepherd, spinner, and crafter, offering natural fibers and finished items for sale. Over time, I shifted my focus to punch needle rug hooking.
I am a folk art fiber artist dedicated to all types of rug hooking, specializing in punch needle rug hooking. I am a juried Kentucky Crafted fiber artist and a certified Oxford punch needle rug hooking instructor. With over 29 years of experience, I have developed and produced various rug hooking designs, the Breezy Ridge Rugs Gripper Strip Punch Needle Frames, Breezy Ridge Cozies, and my latest invention, the Breezy Ridge Yarn Gauge.
Throughout my life, I have been on a creative journey and have been fortunate to learn from talented women who instilled in me a love for textiles and the skills to create them. These mentors not only taught me how to make things but also gifted me with invaluable creative encouragement. Over the years, I have continued to learn and search for the perfect outlet for my skills and energy. Eventually, I realized that I had truly “found my calling” in the traditional craft of punch needle rug hooking. This craft allows me to combine all my skills, and I am incredibly grateful to work every day doing what I love.
